Alicia Silverstone Set To Release A New “Kind” Of Vegan Diet Book

One question: what can’t Alicia Silverstone do? An actress, producer, activist…and now author!!! Yes sir, rumor has it that Alicia is set to publish a vegan dieting book, aptly named: The Kind Diet.
The book is due out in the fall of 2009 and is billed as “a 3-step diet program that explores the connection between what we put in our bodies and what we’re doing to the planet, and how choosing the right foods in the kitchen can help you feeling lighter, sexier, and more alive.”
On a personal note, in 2006 Alicia spoke at a Farm Sanctuary Gala that I was volunteering at (this was before my way super famous Ecorazzi days) and said something that sorta changed my life. Alicia told the audience that although some people might find it annoying, she tries to use every opportunity she has — be it interviews, premieres or whatever – to spotlight the cause she feels post passionately about — veganism!
Now sure that wasn’t anything groundbreaking, but for me it was a “right time, right place” kinda thing and it really encouraged me to do the work I’m doing today. So a special pat on the back from all of us here at Ecorazzi – keep up the great work Alicia!

So So SOOOO happy to hear that Alicia Siverstone has written this book. I think the more people that learn about Veganism and the positive effect it has on our bodies and our planet, might give it a try for even 1 or 2 days.
And yes, we do get enough protein in our diets!
