run dms. i got in a discussion with a friend about this last night as a matter of fact who knew john and explained to me he had a full sized 747 (think that’s what it was I’m no plane expert) and I was thinking the same thing. So while he was sweet and helped the community you’re absolutely right…. Unless he starts running some experimental solar plane or using veggie oil or something his carbon footprint is far bigger than his donation…. Great point and I stand corrected (I don’t say that much so please savor the moment!

For fuck’s sake, the guy flies his private jet back and forth between Cali and Fla., creating an enormous carbon footprint. Donating a few grand to a Boys & Girls club doesn’t even come close to making up for that.

he used to live here (in a “fly in” where people can park their giant airplanes in their garages at their home) but the people complained because sweet John is a well known self proclaimed night owl and would fly in (or out) late and upset them.

i think they could have tolerated an occasional landing at night by the generous gent as he was great for the community. .. now he moved over an hour away (inland no less) to ocala. they’re smarter there obviously ….
