“I cook for Thanksgiving — they don’t even know that they’re not eating meat.”

- A brief quote from NBA star John Salley — a long-time vegetarian — who recently appeared on the Rachael Ray Show to discuss how he rocks the veg-friendly options on Tofurkey Day! If you’d like to see his recipe, visit RachaelRayShow.com! Also, don’t forget to check back with Ecorazzi later today when we present a Thanksgiving verision of the Veg Blog Round-Up! Rachael Ray has mentioned vegetarianism before and I hope hearing from more and more vegetarians and vegans encourages her to lean further in that direction as she is one of the most looked upon chefs on television.

And if people think vegetarians are weak, another professional athlete who’s veg sure refutes that argument.

Good for John, it is always hopeful to hear a celebrity extolling the benefits of a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle! A quick note to Me (the first letter writer) Make extra veg gravy for your tofurky, it adds a little moisture if you think it tastes too dry, it took me awhile to love tofurkey but now I do!
