“All I want for Christmas is Stella McCartney. You feel very alive wearing her clothes and knowing nothing has been killed.”

-One of our favorite do-gooders Pamela Anderson speaking on behalf of vegetarian designer Stella McCartney. What cruelty-free gift do YOU want this holiday season?

Still waiting for something on Stella McCartney line using wool and silk and being affiliated with Gucci who still sells baby seal fur (i think) and other fur…

    From Wiki
“As a strict vegetarian, McCartney does not use fur or leather in her designs and supports PETA.[5] Some of McCartney’s designs have text that elaborates on her “no animal” policy; for example, one of her jackets for Adidas says, “suitable for sporty vegetarians” on the sleeve. Her father is also known for supporting PETA by protesting against designers who use animal fur and those who wear it. However, Stella will use wool, silk, and other animal-derived fabrics in her designs.”

And if you search her products you will find silk, wool and cashmere in her coats and such.

No fur and no leather is great, but i just get concerned people think her lines are vegan without checking.

I am REALLY more upset that she is affiliated with GUCCI. That to me is a big insult to her “anti-fur” stance.

I’m going to assume that’s a veggie burger in her hand.

PETA’s fucking nuts though. I’m vegan but I disagree with the way PETA manages to ‘save’ the animals.

I too am a little concerned with the companies stella mccartney supports. You can find her lines in Harrods (the only department store in the uk that still sells fur – boycotts and demos are held outside its doors every saturday)

Also Her lines can be found on net a porter, which only a month ago I found a crocodile vest for £6000.

If stella mccartney’s core values are the protection and rights of animals, then she would not supply unethical fur selling stores and outlets.

Leona Lewis turned down 1 million pounds from Harrods because of their ethics.

Personally, I can’t wait for Leona to start her vegan range.
