Big news for one of our favorite ethically-conscious, green superstars! Singer Leona Lewis‘ new single has officially become the fastest-selling digital-only track in the UK!!! Snow Patrol cover Run, which was never originally intended to be released as a single, was downloaded almost 70,000 times in its first two days. WOOOOO!!!
Lewis beat previous record-holder Estelle with her single American Boy, which sold 51,857 downloads in a week. The X-Factor star is also nominated for a Grammy Award and has sold four million copies of her current album this year!
We’re so happy to hear that a compassionate, anti-fur, uber talented musician is climbing the charts and breaking records. It just goes to show that you don’t have to compromise your values to be a STAR!

That’s fantastic! I love her cover of Run and Leona sounds like an amazing person for how dedicated she is to her beliefs on animal rights.
Vegans make better…………… singers!!!
i’m so glad it beat estelle’s american boy… because while it was a decent song (and quite catchy) the subject matter of the song about cash and bling (not to mention Kanye West in his big dead fur coat in the vid) is just too un-eco uneducated for me..
We’re glad to see that Leona Lewis has received multiple Grammy Nominations for:
*Record of the Year “Bleeding Love”;
*Best Female Pop Performance; “Spirit” *Best Pop Vocal Album
