It seems to me that all of u people have ur own opinions on animal rights why not try to be a bigger person than Kid Rock and respect his beliefs. When people think about animal rights these days the first thing they think about is some nude PETA spokesperson or PETA throwing red paint on Fur wearers this takes attention away from the animals.

This article was posted and we chose to comment on it. Simple as that. Kid Rock obviously “believes” that animals have fur for HIS use and many of us here “believe” otherwise. I personally don’t know that I can “respect” everything that people believe…although I can respect their right to believe it. I don’t know any human who isn’t critical of the beliefs or actions of others. Maybe animal rights advocates/activists aren’t your thing…but I’m sure there is someone who holds a “belief” that you do not agree with and you may be critical of.

I find that people tend to say “respect what I believe” when what they really mean is “don’t criticize what I believe or do…just accept it no matter what.” I say NO. Many cultures and religious people tend to do this in order to avoid inquiry or uncomfortable debate: “I believe that condoms are evil cuz the pope says so. Respect my belief!”…”I believe that AIDS can be cured by having sex with babies cuz the local witch doctor told me. Respect my belief!”…”I believe Darfur is land meant for Arab Muslims only and black Muslims must be purged. Respect my belief!” …That’s on the extreme side but it still gets to my point.

Kid Rock, Beyonce, Lindsey Lohan, Mary J. Blige, et al, can wear whatever they want to…and being that they are public figures now, they can expect to be criticized for it. The reason I don’t care for PETA’s red paint campaign is that it creates more hostility than it intends to. I’m pretty sure it’s assault too (if that matters to anyone, LOL!). People tend to get upset when they’re pressured into a position and it doesn’t make them want to stop doing something (such as wearing fur)…it does the opposite. Fur wearers buy more fur out of spite (“How dare PETA try to tell me what I can and cannot wear!”). Seriously…how long has PETA been on Mary-Kate and Ashley’s asses about wearing fur and they still do it?

Reality is…some people just don’t care about the welfare of animals and that’s their right…But those of us who do give a damn about animal welfare have just as much right to criticize those who don’t.

Leaving aside PETA and their tactics, I think fur is really really nasty. I saw this video recently on youtube (look up “Chinese fur farms”) where they had these people hang these animals up on hooks and they were just skinning them alive! It was so horrible I nearly vomited. They just chucked the bodies onto a pile and they were all writhing about, still alive with no skin on. Then I found out that about 80% of fur now comes from Chinese fur farms, which is why its so cheap, and they use cats and dogs too. I wonder if Kid Rock has watched these videos?

First trees are murdered to make room for wheat fields, the soil and wheat is chemically and genetically raped/altered, then slaughtered, lastly dyed Aryan white and sold for profit, but now ultimately martyred by PETA by being thrown at animal vicious killers.

I don’t understand PETA. Why always pick on folks who enjoy wearing fur, and not throw red paint on everyone at the meat counters in most grocery stores, or red paint on people at most shoe stores, or red paint on folks who eat meat at restaurants, etc, etc. Makes no sense. Leave the folks who enjoy fur alone, and pick up a cause that helps the hungry…your energies will be put to better use.

I do not get it………. It is not right to throw paint on a fur, but it is ok to rip the skin off animals while they are still alive? animals suffer tremendously. How do u not understand or just not care?
