Bar Refaeli Works With Corona To Help Save The Beaches

December 10th 2008

Model Bar Refaeli has teamed up with Corona for a new global initiative to raise awareness for the beach preservation movement. Called “The Corona Beach Tour”, the party series will recreate an idyllic winter beach setting–complete with white sand, palm trees, tikki bars, and swimsuit-clad servers–in selected cities.

“I think the green issue is one of the most important because this is our future and my kids future and yours and everyone’,” said Bar at the launch of the campaign in London last night. Also joining her was environmentalist Australian musician Xavier Rudd. “I’m inspired by the campaign,” he added. “It’s really exciting to see corporate money being used for a good cause. Some people call me an environmental activist, I call myself an environmental connector I have the ability to connect different groups through what I do but it’s usually fighting the corporate world but this is refreshing. Any positive efforts to change the toxic ways of people are essential now.”

  1. I went on the website and I can’t see what they are actually doing to “save beaches” other than partying in Europe. Is this kinda like the Save the Golf Courses Fund?

  2. Corona and bar Refaeli will stop in Berlin and Milan later this month.
