Logo TV Examines Proposition-8-Inspired Call In Gay Day

The current article you are reading does not reflect the views of the current editors and contributors of the new Ecorazzi

Ellen fought hard, Jack Black dressed up like Jesus and Sundance might seriously sacrifice. What, you ask, could I be talking about? Proposition 8, of course!! In case you’ve been sleeping under a rock for the past few months, California’s Proposition 8 was recently passed, changing the state Constitution to restrict the definition of marriage to a union between a man and a woman.

Obviously the gay community is upset by this legislation and over the past few months have organized a series of events to fight the proposition. Tomorrow many in the gay and lesbian community will stay home from work to participate in the Call in Gay campaign – an initiative modeled after similar work stoppages by Latino immigrants, to prove just how much the country relies on gays and lesbians.

To prepare the world for just what might happen, Logo TV’s NewNowNext.com has examined the subject in a new video. Do you feel yourself coming down with a case of the gay? Chime in and tell Ecorazzi if you’ll be calling out gay tomorrow!

Why Vegetarianism Makes No Sense From A Moral Perspective

I don’t consider my years as a vegetarian as a stepping-stone or prerequisite to veganism

I hope I win the ‘Pig Farmers of Tomorrow’ contest I entered (I’m vegan)

I think I’ll likely have the most interest in pigs of anyone applying, anyway.

Hopefully Jon & Tracey Stewart use their new farm for vegan education

They’ve promised classes on caring for animals and sustainable agriculture, so vegan 101 would be a great place to start.
