Clint Eastwood Ain’t No Vegetarian Either…

December 16th 2008

eastwood_veggieLast week’s reality check that Clint Eastwood is, in fact, not a vegan came as a bit of a surprise to some. Prior to his interview with the NY Times, the 78-year-old actor was held high as a model vegan for the tough guy crowd. Now, in a new interview with Sun Media, he also confirms that he’s no vegetarian either.

“You find all kinds of things written about you that you don’t have the foggiest notion where they came from. I’m not a vegetarian. I love sushi and stuff like that. I do have to watch my fat intake, because I’m 78 years old.”

And, now you know. This should settle the Eastwood veggie debate once and for all. Now, about those rumors that he’s a blood-drinking Communist…

  1. I hate it when people say, “I love sushi” to mean they love fish or when they say they don’t eat sushi to mean they don’t eat fish.

    Sushi =/= fish.

    Look it up.

  2. I always thought that was a bit far fetched, I mean he’s not Charlton Heston but even so…

  3. What a shame! He’s been on all the VEG lists forever…

  4. As if eating SUSHI (or fish and chicken) makes you a “tough guy” either though, gee whiz, who cares either way. Ones diet DOES NOT (and I repeat, DOES NOT) a tough guy make, period.

  5. That’s right he’s no Charlton Herston. Tat old coot was nothing next to
    Clint. I know I know, he’s your favorite actor, blah blah blah. But really, he was just a whiny little fuck next to Clint.
    ALSO, no tough guy I know eats anything but what they want to eat-usually two steaks and a lobster, hold the green stuff-sorry, but no one has any strength eating just veggies. Why do you think we evolved with molars and incisors? I will not be back here to see you (desperate) reply.

  6. To Sushi4U, and the rest of the world.
    In my humble opinion, you are correct in all that you say. Clint Eastwood is NOT a ‘tough guy’, he’s just Clint Eastwood, and waaaayyy down the human pecking order is where you’ll find the ‘tough guys’, extolling the virtues of Sushi and what wine compliments the dish.
    Regards to all.
