Project Runway’s Tim Gunn Records New Fur Video For PETA

December 22nd 2008

untitled6Whether you’re veggie or not, most people would agree that fur is a total bummer! And it isn’t just us crazy activists who are spreading the message! Many of today’s most prominent members of the fashion world are spreading the word that fur is never, ever okay!

Our buddies over at PETA have just released an exclusive video Q&A with Project Runway host Tim Gunn in an effort to convince designers like Donna Karan (boo) and Giorgio Armani (double boo) to ditch their cruel ways.

“Any designer in the fashion industry who does not want to watch the PETA video and see exactly what happens to animals and how they’re treated and how the product that they use comes to the marketplace I believe is egregiously irresponsible,” says Tim. “It is critically important that we all be educated about these matters and then make choices.”

  1. I was so happy when I saw this yesterday. I didn’t know he gave equal time to PETA at Parsons and I’m totally greatful that he is mindful of the textiles he and his students use.

  2. Tim you are THE MAN! Thank you!
    “…egregiously irresponsible,” says Tim. ”

    That is a beautiful understatement.

  3. Honestly, there will always be dumbasses. It’s a free country (sometimes not for the better either). They will unfortunately say what they want but let’s not give them any credence by acknowledging their heinous selfishness – or linking to their sites, thereby giving them more hits.
