Courtney Love is supposedly a genius. I have attempted to read some of her writing as well.. apparently I’m far from whatever plane of life she is inhabiting.

Still… fur is mean. All I see are animals being skinned alive when I see a fur coat.

And people to copy celebs because they can’t think for themselves.

archer – since you asked. no, i drive a 2004 hybrid (which, if you look it up you’ll see Prius started as completely leather animal free. Mine is one of those. No leather. no harm at all to animals when making it. I bought it used 2/3 yrs ago as not to buy a “new” vehicle.

I don’t wear new fur. I don’t wear old fur. i have an issue wearing any kind of dead fur on my body.

i cannot speak for everyone else on here but i think they’re far from hypocrites. many are vegetarians and don’t even wear leather for chris’ sakes!

Well this makes sense. After all, Ms. Love is known for being a real class act! I think it’s funny that she mentioned PETA before they could give her a nasty letter. Somewhere in that brain she knows what’s goin’ on!

Alex, the answer to that question that’s often used is that any promotion of fur by a celebrity is detrimental. People mimic others (yes, even folks like Courtney Love), and they might be inspired to actually “buy” a new fur coat as a result.

Why is it a problem if some random celebrity wears a USED vintage fur coat? Hell, we should be encouraging people who like fur to wear the fur that already exists.
