Tracy Morgan Doesn’t Look Very Funny In Fur
Filed under: animals — Michael Andre d'Estries @ 1:15 pm

I’m open to a best case scenario, but it doesn’t appear as if this fur scarf is faux. Comedian Tracy Morgan, of 30 Rock fame, was caught with this dead animal after arriving at JFK International Airport in New York City on a flight from Los Angeles yesterday. What do you think? Faux or fur?

fur for sure. :[
not ok.
LAME… What is WRONG with people?
I would worry more about how the Constitution got skinned under George Bush Jr, and why Obamessiah is refusing to look into George’s warcrimes and other abuses, than IF Morgan is wearing a fur…
Get real people.
you gotta post higher res pictures or the links to where they can be seen.
Sure, Pierre — pic posted…
It’s real. You can tell because the folds in the skin are inconsistent and the fur looks too feathery and soft to be fake. It looks like a rabbit fur.
I would worry more about how the Constitution got skinned under George Bush Jr, and why Obamessiah is refusing to look into George’s warcrimes and other abuses, than IF Morgan is wearing a fur…
Um, and we can’t worry about two or more issues at once?
Must suck to be you, oy!
I would worry more about how the Constitution got skinned under George Bush Jr, and why Obamessiah is refusing to look into George’s warcrimes and other abuses, than IF Morgan is wearing a fur…
is it really that big of a deal that not every issue posted is a “real” issue
they all lead to the fundamental issue anyways
First, I HATE assholes that feel the need to say “There are more important issues, get a life” type comments…which are a fav of jerks on the street passing protests.
How bout YOU get a life a stop wasting your time harassing people that are trying to make SOME SORT of diffrence in the world. What do you do….sit on your ass and make lame comments….
Like Kelly G. said, people can be active for more then one cause. Just cause someone sees me at a fur protest and didn’t NOTICE me at an anti-war demo…doesn’t mean I wasn’t there.
Most ACTIVIST, even AR activist, are active in many many ways and for many causes. AR people are usually the FIRST to worry about goverment…being that while Bush was in office he SLICED OUR FREE SPEECH RIGHT IN HALF!!!!
*ahem* sorry….i just cannot STAND assholes that think AR issues are shit becuase there is “other things” going on…yeesh!!
And I also hate Assholes that wear fur! Shame on HIM!
Can you not see the irony in your post Steph?
Most sensible people would say exactly what you are saying about YOU, and all animal rights activists.
Sad arseholes who try to impose their erroneous and badly thought out views on the rest of us. AR issues are not considered shit because there are other things going on. They are just plain and simple SHIT, and most people are totally fed up with your holier than thou attitude which you chose to ram down our throats.
What the hell does it matter if this collar is real or fake. both will have involved animal death and suffering somewhere in this world for their production. You just can’t escape that fact.
Real or fake, that scarf is sure ‘nough fugly.
“Oy,” we pick our battles and our causes. Yes, I’m concerned about the pillage of the constitution under GWB, and I’m only cautiously optimistic about Barack Obama, but I fight for what I’m most passionate about, which is feminism and non-human animal issues.
I want to know who all these pro-fur anti-compassion people posting on this site are. I wish each one of you had the nerve to declare who you are and why you’re on this site being contrarian. Are you being paid to do this? Because, if not, I can’t understand why you spend your time sneaking around this site like a complete cretin. I’m not asking you to go away — just try making informed and serious conversation rather than spouting ideologue rhetoric. Oh yeah - boo Tracy Morgan! Hopefully he’s just uninformed and not uncaring.
Mouse, believe it or not there are people who don’t hold their views with blind religious conviction and want to be exposed to all sides of arguments.
Most issues like animal rights issues have equally valid arguments in support of completely opposite positions - the difference boils down to holding different set of basic premises. Calling people holding views opposite to your own “uninformed” or “uncaring” is “ideologue rhetoric” in it’s purest form and certainly not the “informed and serious conversation” that you’re calling for.
Doug, can you not see the irony in YOUR statement? All viewpoints are considered erroneous and badly thought out by someone else, but it’s ok for you to declare AR issues ‘SHIT’, and that doesn’t make you holier than thou, or ramming something down our throats?
dificult to see. i have doubts, it might not be real fur.
btw, people wearing fur har hardly educated about the issue, and hardly have a substantial “view’ about it. (they just like fur because its “beautiful”)
after learning more aboit fur (videos) many change and go fur free.
i dont recall any case of a fur free person knowing more abouyt the fur industry and decides to start to wear fur.
in other words, Anti-Fur has good valid arguments, while “Fur” hardly has any serious arguments, exept “its legal so we can do whatever the f**ck we want”, etc
why doesn’t anyone stand up to FBR? WTF?
Yo FBR there is no argument to wear fur. there are no poor people freezing to death who need fur. they can wear some fucking polyester. There is NO argument that holds up in 2009. That is ABSURD> about as absurd as skinning animals to death ALIVE so you can wear that ugly shite!
e - Go easy. Breathe. FYI it’s -13 in southern Canada. Where your ’skinning alive’ may not apply.
Now, I don’t support the Canada fur trade, but I wouldn’t equate it with the worst in the spectrum, either. (Asia)
That’s an issue I have with “Animal Rights” - it seems that, to AR folks, there is no spectrum. You paint everything with the same broad brush - and most people, given the complete facts, won’t buy in. Which is also why I think “Animal Rights” is dead in the water. Animal Welfare, on the other hand…
