Yeah, I’ll admit it: when I was a kid I thought American Gladiator was like the coolest show ever! But who would have guessed that I was not only supporting amateur athletes with bad 80’s hair, but also a show that would one day exercise a green agenda.
The UK version of the show American Gladiators — aptly titled Gladiators — has released reports that this season their show was produced with 35% lower carbon emissions.
The cuts were made thanks to Sky network’s pledge to make its operations more eco-friendly. Sky is in the process of building a new production facility that will use 33% less energy than a typical building its size, installing wind turbines on its facilities, and working with producers to limit waste in their various shows. WE LIKE!
So the next time you get the urge to watch some skinny accountant from Toledo (or its UK equivalent), try to push someone named Storm or Ice or Razor Blade into a pit of multi-colored balls (that’s what she said), tune into Gladiators and get your green on!
