It seems Kloe Kardashian’s decision to pose nude in PETA’s “I’d Rather Go Naked” anti-fur campaign definitely had an effect on at least one person: her own sister.

Kim Kardashian, the main star of the television show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, has announced that she’s dropping fur from her wardrobe. Apparently, however, it’s not because she’s concerned about where fur comes from — but more on how people think of her; especially her sister and boyfriend. From the article,

She says, “I haven’t bought anything new since Khloe did the ad.” But that might not be enough – boyfriend Reggie Bush threatened to dump her if she didn’t give up her pelts – after the pair drove past an anti-fur rally at the Sundance Film Festival in 2008. She tells Eonline.com, “I was wearing a fur vest, and he was like, ‘This is humiliating. I can’t go out with you.’ We were driving past the protest and he was rolling down the window and screaming, ‘She’s in here. She’s in here.’”

Nice work Reggie Bush!

This is a fairly significant announcement, since Kim Kardashian is known to have an entire zoo of fur coats in her closet. The question remains what she’ll do with those pelts? Donate them to PETA? Plus, it will be interesting to see exactly how long this lasts — especially is she isn’t particularly concerned about how fur is created in the first place. Stay tuned.
