m“I just find it so hard to believe that people find this practice acceptable at all, and they flaunt it. Makes me sick, to be honest. Do people crave attention that much? It is laughable that someone can’t see how barbaric wearing fur truly is.”

- Marc Roberge telling PETA how he feels about the cruel stuff. Check out his new PSA over at blog.peta.org

THANK YOU!! Please shout that into every microphone you find yourself in front of.

On the contrary – small minded, simplistic, and erroneous thinking. Just another example of someone who sees a few things, makes his mind up and then spouts forth with ridiculous comments.

Does he really think people wear fur to crave attention? Poor sad man, the pot calling the kettle black more likely. Strikes me, HE’S the one craving attention. Most of the people in the world have never even heard of him!!

The world is a big place out there, nothing is that simple. He should really spend time learning and UNDERSTANDING about things before shooting his mouth.

Ecorazzi readers of all peole should be aware of this. Nature is a HUGE interwoven inter dependent web. Words like “barbaric” and “cruel” are just human paradigms, they just don’t exist in the real world

Their aint nothing that we do to maintain our cosy Western lifestyle that isn’t in some way “Cruel” or “Barbaric” to other creaturest on this planet. We don’t NEED half of it, and yet we crave it, and then criticise others for doing things differently from ourselves.

From the food on your table, the clothes that you wear, your mobile phone, and the way you get around the place. None of this you would have without it somewhere creating ecological damage, and suffering (if that’s the word you want to use) to wildlife.

Dear Doug. I think you and FBR should go get married and live off together somewhere. Far far away… in NATURE :)

    Bless you,

First of all, Doug, you are making him sound like a bad person for “criticizing” people who skin animals, don’t eat the meat, and drape the animal’s skin on themselves for decoration. You’re right, that’s not barbaric. I’m sure you would understand if someone did it to your mother. It’s just how this world works, right? Who cares if nobody knows who he is! He has a valid point and just so you know an amazing band too, but that’s beside the point.
Another thing too, if you’re going to post something on the internet trying to make someone sound idiotic, you should do a spelling and grammar check before you post it. A few pointers… interdependent is one word, I believe the word you were looking for in the sentence that begins “their aint nothing…” is THERE. You see, their is possessive, meaning belonging to multiple people. You could use it in such terms as their pizza, or their fur, or whatever. I’m sure you get the picture. As far as using the word “aint” that makes you sound HIGHLY educated. Did you go to an ivy league? I do believe the term “aint nothing” is what’s referred to as a double negative. It’s a big no no in the English language. You could have used something like isn’t anything, and it would have come together much more beautifully. Cosy? I think maybe you were trying to say cozy? You see, a cosy is a padded cloth covering to keep a teapot warm.
Who’s dog did you kill for your cell phone? That’s weird. I do believe mine is animal free. Thanks for your concern though. The clothes that I wear you say? They’re mostly cotton, grown on a farm, specifically for making the beautiful clothes they turn into. Can’t say as too many kittens mommies were killed to make my socks.
And I don’t know about you, but I recycle and buy recycled products. Anyone who is actually concerned about our planet does so. Others just continue to live their lives eating grease burgers in non-biodegradable containers, throwing cans in the trash, and wearing mink because it’s ‘charming and exquisite’ to kill an animal and wear it’s skin as an accessory just because, it’s how we “maintain our cosy Western lifestyle”. Sounds like laziness to me.
