goreawards

Al Gore’s award mantle is getting a bit crowded.

The former Vice-President became only the 9th person in history to sweep all four major entertainment categories — Oscar, Tony, Emmy, and Grammy — by claiming a Grammy last night for Best Spoken Word Album for the audio book of An Inconvenient Truth. Sure to inspire a war of the words, Gore also beat out Stephen Colbert in the category. Look out Al — we’ve no doubt The Colbert Report host is going to retaliate.

Gore’s achievements in the awards arena is even more impressive when you figure in his Nobel Peace Prize. There’s even an entire Wikipedia page dedicated to his winning ways. Which reminds us of a funny clip from Saturday Night Live

It amazes me how many people actually fell for this whole “global warming” stuff in the first place. I wonder if any of them have noticed that the last two winters have been the most severe in recent history and I also wonder if they’ll take his awards away when it turns out the whole thing was simply a natural climate change.

Think about this. Without global warming, we’d still be in the ice age.

Personally I’d say the worst cause of global warming has been all the hot air coming out of this windbag.

I hate Al Gore…just another so called ‘environmentalist’ who ignores the single greatest cause of global warming and environmental destruction: Animal Agriculture!

I guess giving up his burgers and steaks would be just too darn inconvenient.

    Hammer-
I read that the cold spell is still consistent with global warming. Scientists say that looking at our climate history, we should be having these cold spells far more often than we do. And it’s getting more infrequent. That’s why when it does come around, everyone considers it weird.

I do agree that Al Gore needs to be veg to set a good example, but I heard his family are long time cattle ranchers…making it an even more inconvenient truth?

    bollocks….

I like Al Gore, I think he is a role model and has had made many people stop and listen. Until a majority of Americans are willing to make changes in their lives that decrease our impact on the earth things will not get better, and I think he speaks to those people. It is hard to love the environment and have a conflict of interest, I can relate to that since I am a steelworkers daughter.

All that talk and nothing about animal Agricultue?? How very inconvenient…

  • Whoever…

Global warming doesn’t mean it will get hotter everywhere… ignorance…

It means extreme weather conditions will be more frequent and much more intense worldwide!!! Australia unfortunately is an example of this. Extreme heat combined with almost zero humidity! That’s why the fires spread so quickly and with such intensity!
What will it take for people to open their eyes once and for all? More deaths? :(

Besides, the majority of scientists have already agreed that global warming is a fact!!!

Only ignorant people who know absolutely nothing about science still prefer to bury their heads in the sand and remain in the denial phase…

I agree with the things that Al Gore says in An Inconvenient Truth, His personal life is not my concern or my business. I also agree with the scientists that have been telling us that human activity is affecting the entire world since the nineteen seventies not only the climate but also the other living creatures on earth there’s no way to tell wheather humans are causeing the warming of the planet or not but the planet is warming and our actions do affect all life on earth.
