Let’s act out a scene. So you the animal-concerned consumer are looking for a coat that has that fur look without the cruelty. You go into Bloomingdale’s or Saks or some other fancy pants retailer and find an unlabeled coat that use you assume is faux. I mean the label doesn’t say anything about fur so it must be fake, right? WRONG!

The HSUS has recently revealed that some of New York’s most famous department stores have been selling unlabeled fur-trimmed garments in violation of state law. Undercover investigators and New York State Assemblymember Linda Rosenthal visited a slew of New York department store and determined that retailers are not in compliance with the 2007 law Rosenthal authored requiring all fur items to be labeled.

Check out video below to see what happened.

This is why at protests when people snap at us “IT’S FAKE!@!@!” i wonder if they REALLY believe that, cause i know this goes on.

And we can’t get up close to them to verify XD

I’d be so mad if I ever bought real fur thinking it was fake. (Though that probably wouldn’t happen because I generally stay away from anything that looks remotely like it) I hope all these stores are fined for breaking the law and violating the trust of their customers.

Why aren’t the stores and manufacturers being fined and prosecuted? I don’t understand.
