Victoria’s Secret Introduces Organic, 100% Vegan, Eco-Friendly Collection

Victoria’s Secret is going vegan? YES! Well, at least for their new collection coming out called PINK Body.
The sexy lingerie company is introducing the new line as the product outcome of a tour around the country “speaking to hundreds of girls to figure out what was most important in their lifestyles.” Apparently, organic, vegan, and eco-friendly were high on the list! From the press release,
“INTRODUCING PINK BODY, a unique line of skin-loving and earth-friendly products created specifically for the pink girl. She spoke. We listened. The result? A more personalized approach to everyday body care using organic and vegan ingredients, powerful natural formulas and eco-friendly packaging. With three dermatologist-tested, solution-specific collections, each designed to pamper pink girls from tip to toe: nourishing for dry skin, energizing for dull, sluggish skin and soothing for extra-sensitive skin. Plus, four additional essentials that everyone can use and love. It’s all about finding ways to look good, feel good and do a little good, too.”
Looking at the PINK Body site, there are lotions galore, perfumes, lip balms, and even a hand sanitizer. Rock on Vicky for taking these steps and introducing more people to the green, vegan lifestyle!

i’ll be wary until i read the ingredients list. too many companies try to dupe customers with “green” & “natural” talk, but when you read the labels, it’s parabens and dimethicone galore (i’m looking at you, kiehls).
Palm oil, and its derivatives, are also vegan ingredients but far from humane. I couldn’t find any ingredient listings on that Web site.
When they come up with some organic cotton underwear that isn’t made is a sweatshop…I’ll get excited
I think we’re missing a big plus here-mainstreamer V.S. thinks vegan = “cool”, not “freak”? man, that alone means something really special to me.

does kiehls use parabens and stuff in their products?(I’ve never used their stuff but never thought it was too “organic” or super healthy.
I still to Aubrey’s (made right here in Florida – since 1967 all organic) and Dr Bronner’s.. and Jane Iredale for some lipstick and mascara
It’t awesome those products are vegan however Victoria’s Secret get’s ingredients from suppliers that test on animals . They refuse to join the CCIC program and be 100% cruelty free. They are only 50% cruelty free since the final products are not tested on animals .http://www.leapingbuny.org/

yes. last summer i bought a few things online for my husband. kiehl’s has a good reputation and i thought they MUST be natural. wrong! when i got the bottles i was very disappointed. i chucked them, so unfortunately i can’t give you the ingredient list, but definitely not paraben free.
i also dig dr. bronners & i like burt’s bees a lot too.
VS and Vegan, i like the combination.
Cute packaging but I too will be believe it when I can read the ingredient list. When “organic” is slapped on any product, we should be wary until we can see for ourselves what’s inside. The fact that the ingredients aren’t listed on the site is a strong indicator they may have something to hide. Full disclosure speaks volumes.
Let’s be careful not to jump on a bandwagon until we can make informed decisions. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad they’re making a step in the right direction, I just hope this isn’t a marketing ploy.
Regardless of how amazing this product line is/is not, I’m taking this as a signal of a movement gaining in popularity-
when a massive brand retailer purposefully creates a line that is aligned with a movement, it is a sign of a philosophy gaining momentum into the early majority– you know the saying: ‘first a truth is ignored, then ridiculed, then accepted.’
not only small companies whose heart and soul are for a cause can make a difference. the large ones who realize that’s what people care about can as well- by making it easier and cumulatively more powerful to be vegan.
I can’t wait for the commercials…
i dunno… i’ve never been a fan of VS but I am attracted to the vegan marketing gimmick. Veganism needs all the positive attention it can get. Even if it means having people turn vegan because they think it’s cool.
Anything for the animals. Let’s just hope it’s not short lived.

i work at a victoria’s secret and in our meetings we learned all about this new line a couple weeks ago. and i can assure you it has no parabens and sulfates in them. and the products ARE NOT tested on animals. i dont even know where that information came from…also, the bottles are made from 100% reusable products. (this is for our pink organic line)
we also just introduced naturally victoria’s secret which are all made WITHOUT parabens and sulfates as well and come in 5 scents (which will soon be 6) and they all have vitamins c and e in them and ALSO have 34 minerals. they have scents such as acai and magnolia, grapefruit lime & mint, honeysuckle & white patchouli, blackberry & tonka bean, and vanilla and sandlewood. they are AWESOME! just had my meeting and im obsessed. my personal favorite is the acai and magnolia.
go check them out. read the labels. ask an associate to see the beauty book for more information on the ingredients and everything.

This is such not true!!! Or you don’t know what those things are!!
I read a label of one of these ‘natural’ products yesterday and it was like this: water,Sodium Laureth Sulfate,Sodium Lauryl Sulfate… then in the middle was EDTA and some other bad things. So this is natural???
