Comedian Ricky Gervais has revealed in a recent blog entry that him and rocker Pink have joined forces on a new ad for PETA. “Did a cinema charity ad for Peta,” he writes. “It’s a great idea and I play a rabbit, and Pink plays an alligator. I’ll post it when it’s all finished and shiny.”
Hmmm…will this new ad address animals skins or vegetarianism?
Both Pink and Gervais have supported PETA in the past over issues like bear-fur hats on the Queen’s Guards and the cruelty of NYC’s horse carriage industry. Should be interesting to see how this one turns out when it’s ready!

this new ad wont make a difference
wow…if everyone had your attitude blacks would still be segregated….
I’m not a huge fan of Peta, but they HAVE gotten people to think about things and change their minds about what they eat and wear…their stupid pranks aside….
Them and all other more grassroots direct AR groups too. Maybe it wont make a difference TO YOU…but it may make a difference to SOMEONE.
If everyone that had the attitude “this/that/one person can’t make a difference TRIED to make a difference, change would be swift.
The ad sounds silly, but hey…that works for some people.
Nothing Gervais does is silly.
Well, it is.
But in a good way.
Good silly
Well, if PETA changes one mind about animal exploitation, then they have made a difference. Better to at least try.
