Ellen DeGeneres (one of my all time favorite vegans) recently welcomed House star Oliva Wilde to her show and discussed something we here at Ecorazzi simply love…veganism!!

On the show, Wilde chatted about Prop 2, being a princess and competitive eating.

You see Oliva is one hell of a competitive eater and once ate 33 pancakes in 20 minutes. I’m sorry…WHAT??? In fact, Olivia challenged Ellen to a vegan eating contest, to which Ellen said:

“But you fill up more with vegan stuff, don’t you find? So you can’t eat as much.”

Check out the whole interview below and welcome Olivia to the VEG club! We’re thrilled to have you, chica!!

Actually, there has been a vegan eating contest of sorts. Last year, Compassion Over Killing sponsored it, and it was near Sticky Fingers Bakery in DC. It was a vegan hot dog eating contest. The winner, unfortunately, was someone who participates regularly in these–so, definitely not a vegetarian.

Last I read, in both “Women’s Health” and “Organic Beauty,” Olivia Wilde is a “flexitarian” who mostly eats vegetarian food and fish. She may enjoy vegan food, but I don’t necessarily think she’s vegan. Who knows? It would be cool.
