I have adopted veganism as a way of life because I had a particularly aggressive form of cancer several years ago. I’ve always thought food –good food–was the basis of good health and was surprised when I learned that my very well respected oncologist knew nothing about nutrition. So, I was left to search for my self. OVer the years I had flirted with vegetarianism several times but always had a jproblem with proteins.

One caller commented on her daughter’s loss of hair on a vegan diet. I’m experiencing the same thing. Of course, I lost my hair during chemo. While it has returned, it is still quite thin. I know some of this is related to age–I’m a senior citizen. Otherwise the hair seems to be healthy; it doesn’t break off; it’s strong and shiny. I notice it is thinner inthe top . You indicted there were things to do to cure this problem. Would you please share them with me?

he’s one of the presenters on the page just near Dr. Neal Barnard’s photo. I said “I just replied to a story about him on ER!” and he said really? Oh about Neal? Anyway what a great cruise. It doesn’t leave til’ late tomorrow afternoon and there’s supposedly some GREAT LAST minute deals if you call (otherwise the rooms go empty) if you’re in FLa and can go you should call! I was tempted but too much going on this week!
