Natalie Portman is slated to appear as part of a live panel discussing women’s rights around the world in celebration of International Women’s Day on March 5th. Joining the actress will be former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Nicholas Kristoff, amongst others.
The panel will follow a screening of the film A Powerful Noise — the acclaimed documentary that reveals the struggles of three women living in Mali, Vietnam and Bosnia. Over 450 theaters nationwide will be participating in the event. The official website has a list of the theatres taking part — as well as opportunities for people to ask questions of those on the panel.
