PETA, Rick's Carbaret, topless dancers, anti-fur, i'd rather go naked

In a new twist on the whole “I’d Rather Go Naked” campaign, seven ladies from Rick’s Cabaret — a chain of publicly traded gentleman’s night clubs — have gone topless for PETA. They probably would have gone naked, but then you couldn’t drink alcochol while viewing the ad. (Get it?)

“Compassion is a big turn-on, but fur-wearers leave me cold,” says Alicia, one of the women featured. “By showing some of our skin, we hope to save animals’ skins.” Radar Online contacted PETA to see of the new topless campaign meant the group was backing down from full-on nudity — but a spokesperson confirmed this was just an off-shoot.

The official unveiling of the ad will take place at Rick’s Cabaret in New York at 1PM EST.

Scaling back a bit, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has switched up their advertising campaign, going from naked to topless.

Um, I’m not sure the dental floss those ladies are wearing counts as “bottoms.”

Great, more objectification and misogyny being applauded because it’s for the PETA folks. You can do anything to worsen human society so long as you slap a “green” organization’s name on it.

i like the peta adds because at least they are not uptight about naked bodies.
there is nothing wrong with showing your naked body. they dont do it for selling a product but to bring attention to a good cause. they dont get money for it but spend their valuable time free. i fail to see how that can “worsen human society”.
i dont want to make a cheap snear but i really think that some of the gals opposing naked peta bodies aren’t that secure about their own body.

I think just because you’re grossed out by PETA’s constant objectifying women’s naked bodies doesn’t mean you’re insecure about your own body, herwin. It just means that people are tired of this “sex sells” crap and would like a group like PETA to be smarter. Seriously, PETA: give. it. up. It’s soo boring and stupid. Tell people to be vegetarians all you want, but just be smart about it. Everyone at PETA and Ecorazzi should read Carol J. Adam’s The Politics of Meat, and see how sad PETA’s campaigns really are.
