That 70s Show star Wilmer Valderrama recently teamed with our pals over at PETA to show the world that animal circuses are NEVER okay!
One of the most famous animal circuses — Ringling Bros. — is notorious for their cruel measures and over the years have been sited with numerous violations for animal-cruelty. A former Ringling Bros. spoke to PETA and told them:
“I saw handlers deliver a beating … for 30 minutes. She was covered with bloody wounds. I’ll never forget her agonizing screams. Please never take your children to a Ringling Bros. circus.”
Check out the video below to see why Valderrama will never support animal circuses and then visit Circuses.com to learn more!

‘Cirque du Soleil’ (http://www.cirquedusoleil.com/) – the greatest circus on earth… No animals involved whatsoever!
Their artists are extremely well paid and they even hire translators so that the communication with foreign artists (while being trained at their training centre) is not a problem.
The circus also provides food (of all sorts including vegetarian) for their employees. In addition, the logistics are excellent!
Moreover, their headquarters (I believe) was built in a degraded neighbourhood in Quebec (I think – my memory is not the best
) to recuperate that part of the city!
Now this is the future of circus and we should all support it.
Regarding ‘traditional’ circuses, I believe they are (fortunately) doomed to extinction!
I mean, there’s nothing funny about watching magnificent animals such as tigers or elephants stand on their hind legs… ridiculous! What’s the point? To demonstrate our power over them and submit them to perform pathetic little tricks?
Believe me that if children really knew what’s behind all of that, they would hate the circus!
Thank you Wilmer. A friend just took their kids to the circus and sent me pics of elephants and tigers. I am a half second away from telling them how cruel they are probably treated.
