Ricky Gervais recently sat down for an interview with Elmo for Sesame Street’s 40th Anniversary DVD set to be released this November. The Associated Press got a hold of some outtakes — and needless to say, they’re absolutely hilarious.

    Oh man. This is so insanely adorable. Whoever came up with Elmo 40 years ago is a straight up GENIUS. Ricky Gervais ain’t half bad, either.

    are they muppets? I get so confused if the puppets on SS are the same as the muppets created by that other guy… can someone enlighten me?
