However, you have not missed anything by not meeting him. He is one of the most arrogant, conceited people I have ever met and observed. He thinks every woman on earth is in love with him. He was in town several times in connection with a ballot initiative I was heavily involved with. He walks into the room like he owns the place, then stands in one spot with his nose turned up in the air. He speaks to no person, unless they approach him. Then he plays Mr. "humble pie." The other "important" people were walking around making an attempt to be friendly. His public persona is much different than his real personality. The only thing I can say is, it is a good thing most of his intelligent constituents do NOT meet him in person. HSUS would be loosing money. So, I guess most constituents will only see the results of his work! AND THAT IS GREAT! I will ALWAYS value and support the work that Wayne Pacelle does.
