marykatePeople magazine recently reported that Mary-Kate Olsen was seen partying it down with boyfriend Nate Lowman at Greenhouse — New York’s first eco-friendly nightclub.

About their club, Greenhouse says

“Greenhouse is the first eco-friendly nightlife destination. A bi-level 6,000 square foot nightclub, lounge and event space built from recycled or recyclable materials, Greenhouse went the extra mile to receive L.E.E.D. registration, which is awarded by the United States Green Buildings Council for environmentally conscious contruction and design”

Sounds pretty awesome! Let’s just hope Mark-Kate left the fur at home!

    By the bag she is carrying I don’t think she left the fur at home. Holy crap what does she got in that thing?

  • Just a thought.

    Hmm. I don’t think she went because it’s “eco-friendly” but rather because it’s something new and trendy for her to visit. At the very least, wouldn’t it be so funny if Greenhouse denied admittance to anyone sportin’ fur? I know legally they can’t, but I just think it would amusing.
    “Sorry Mary-kate, but your bag full of cruelty can’t come in.”

    that bag is so ugly!

    Jen asks;

    what does she got in that thing.

    I say;

    Oh probably some more drugs like the ones she gave to Heath Ledger when she basically killed him (or was that her sister) I can’t tell the two troll rat devils apart. I wish they didn’t exist.

    That is the most disgusting bag I think I’ve ever seen.

    what an interesting question, can a venue refuse admittance of fur? Why not? Some clubs refuse admittance based solely on completely superficial criteria like looks (which is, in my opinion- ridiculous) or gender ratio. etc. why not ethics?

    I though could deny her too. Great idea!

    You’re right, they DO refuse admittance for really superficial stuff…I think it would be completely reasonable to turn away fur-lovers at the door. I mean, if someone can’t get into a club because they’re “too old” or “too heavy,” then why not this?

    There IS or used to be a club that did refuse to allow entry to anyone wearing fur. It’s a complete contradiction of ideals to allow such cruelty into a Green nightclub.

  • Whoever…

    The Olsen twins are among the worst ‘artists’ whose work I’ve ever had the displeasure of watching!

    America is truly a great place of opportunities (honestly!), because if they lived in my country they would barely earn enough money to pay the rent of a tiny apartment!!!

    ;)
