As reported last week, Heather Mills has scooped up a seaside restaurant in the UK with the intention of turning it into a vegan-lovers hotspot. Of course, the UK press isn’t particularly fond of Mills, as noted in this brief article from the UK Guardian titled “How To Be…A Celebrity Restaurateur”. Check it out below:

First, remind everyone of the famously vegan status of your famous ex-husband’s beloved first wife. Next, buy up a local fishy concern and announce your intention to remove fish from the menu entirely. Get some nice press shots done of you in chef whites and make some grand pronouncements about how this will be the first in an international chain of vegan splendour. Finally, relax in the knowledge that no one eats in a restaurant merely sponsored by a non-famous civilian dum-di-dum with a piffling passion for food but with no actual history for paparazzi-titillating behaviour. Smile gamely when asked if you intend to throw a glass of water over the heads of hostile food critics.

Ouch.

That is so classic. LOVE it (sorry to Parrish – I know you like the gal, but I can’t bloody stand her!) The throwing the glass of water was the best line.

Count all the vegans in the world. Next, count all the vegans in Hove. Then add in the people who like Mills. The total available customers would be very low I think. She is already claiming to be a vegan since she lost her leg. She only became a vegetarian to impress Paul. She went vegan when she knew he was divorcing her. She wants to try to out vegetarian the McCartney family. Apparently vegans don’t care who fronts a campaign for them so this is the only charity/ cause that is left for her. The liar will do more harm than good for vegans in the long run.

She hadn`t heard of animal rights before she met Paul. The last thing the vegan movement needs is a phoney like Mills.

Actually, Linda McCartney was vegetarian, not vegan. Check out her cookbooks and her frozen food line. The only vegan in the McCartney family besides little Beatrice is Paul and Linda’s son James, who became vegan long before Paul became involved Mills .
