Lately we&#039;ve been considering eating more meat rather than less, because of a) availability of local free-range chicken and b) at our local IGA grocery, a lot of the meat seems cheaper than a loaf of healthy bread at the local Food co-op. There is a great deal to say for reducing the amount of meat one eats. It requires no commitment. Nutritionists are now saying the dinner plate should be 1/2 vegetables, 1/4 potato or rice, and 1/4 meat, which is quite different than standard.</description>
