The sad truth that I have finally realized is we cannot get the masses to go vegetarian... However we can get them to cut back meat consumption, eat more veg alternatives and eat organic if and when they do eat meat. I don't feel that's hypocritical at all. My parents are older, they're not going veg but they do eat less meat and organic at that. an improvement? yes. I don't need a child to explain that to me.
