LOST’s Jorge Garcia Investigates Organic Pancakes In A Can

You know organic food is starting to influence shopping habits when the makers of “Batter Blaster” (or Pancakes-in-a-can) offer an “organic” choice. I mean, seriously, anything that comes pre-made in a pressurized can is probably not something you should feel all green and warm about inside.
Jorge Garcia, who plays the loveable Hurley on ABC’s hit show LOST, thought the same thing when he spied some Organic Pancake Batter Blaster at a Whole Foods. “It’s pancake batter in a whipped cream can,” he wrote on his blog. “I couldn’t believe it. And it’s “organic” no less. I ended up buying it. I wasn’t sure yet if I was going to use it or just take it out periodically to show to people.”
In the end, Garcia did experiment with the canned batter — coming up with some cool shapes — and this review: “How did they taste you ask? Well… they were fun to cook. Somehow they just didn’t taste “organic” to me.”
Yea, I think I’ll stick to whipping up my own batter with fresh ingredients, thank you. Perhaps Garcia should try Gwyneth Paltrow’s vegan pancake recipe?

First, the vegan marshmallows, now organic pancakes. Is this guy planning to give veg a try?
Michael, you must be a lost Fanatic!
Gross! Eggs in a can!
So I tried these Organic pancakes, because I saw them in the fridge in Prepared Foods, and since we have a griddle…thought ok lets give it a try. First off I have never ever seen batter in a can. I cooked some up and had all of my coworkers try it and we were actually pretty impressed, ofcourse we had some of the best maple syrup on it…and if it was vegan, I would consider buying it…since it really is a very easy no mess breakfast for people with families.
