mailEarlier this week a few lucky teens got the four star eco-treatment during Project Green Prom — a partnership between Whole Foods Market and Teens Turning Green to encourage high school students to support green fashion.

Upon arrival, the participating youngins were treated to a slew of eco-friendly prom prep activities, from complimentary makeovers to healthy menu ideas.

On site was Real Housewives of New York City’s Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, Jill Zarin and much of the Zarin clan to lend a bit of fashion support to the budding environmentalists.

From eco-silk to vegan taffeta to Italian linen made from pest-resistant flax, the fashion-show-featured a line of eco-friendly hotness, proving that, indeed, green IS gorgeous.

If you’re mourning Sudan the rhino, go vegan

The world needs more vegans because more than dollars or pledges or sad-emoji riddled posts, our individual efforts can stop the demand for horns, for zoos, for animal flesh, and for the exploitation of any living being.

Criticize veganism, but don’t discredit it

Oppressive and harmful behaviour has no place in a movement rooted in anti-oppression.
