I am appelled that people have nothing better to do in their meager lives then to worry about someone who they don’t know and telling them what to do? Who are you to judge me? Who died and made you boss of everyone else? Think about this, if marriage is a tradition and sanctified then why is it that men and women (who are straight and mariied) cheat on their spouses (I thought it was one man and one women; not one man ond five women)? But gay people are promiscuous…that is a lie. I can’t call my boyfriend “husband” (didn’t know it was just designated to straight people), I have to say “partner”, “significant other,” “roommate” it is unfair. If marriage is tradition then why can you get a divorce (which is a sin)? If you get a divorce don’t remarry, because if you couldn’t get it right the first time then what makes you sure the second time will be right. God, allah or whomever you pray to has more important things to worry about then what I am doing in my life. This gay marriage ban is in violation of the 14th Amendment of the Constitution of America!!! Explain to me that in the 1600′s when the Puritans left England because they couldn’t worship how they wanted and they came to America to be free of the control of England…why is it that we are doing the same thing that England did? How are you goung to lose your freedom anyways? If marriage is for procreation tell that to an impotent male and post menopausal female to forefit their rings…they can’t reproduce. Homosexuality is NOT a choice as most think, God created everyone out of His image as it states in the bible. So he created me as I am and if he hates gays then why are we still alive? This ad is a laughing stock to America; The Land of the Free…yeah right!! What about our rights that we are intitled to?

This video makes me sad that I’m American. We obviously pride for being so socially advanced, but when the subject of gay marraige is brought up, people go ballistic. If this type of discrimination were being held against straight couples, they’d be fighting back, too!

So just BE gay and stop trying to force your beliefs and lifestyles on everyone else. Get your own marriage type status (aka not holy matrimony). Most poeple on this blog would think I am intolerant. The question is (and has been obviously answered as “no”) is Will you tolerate that? Hypocrate!

Should pedifiles hide thier true sexuality or express it freely as they see fit? How about rapists? Make no mistake, this is 100% a moral issue. Thank God you have the right to speak freely about it.

Actually you don’t need anything from the government. A marriage certificate from a priest or pastor has the authority necessary. It’s been that way since before government issued them.

You are wrong about the effect. Will she get a desease? Will he? can they afford health care for it? Will she get pregnant? Can he take care of a family? Do they pay taxes? Do they have an education? Where will they live? What will a young teenager who is still learning about life teach a child? The bible, for your enjoyment, also says that the road is NARROW and few find it that leads to life. The road that leads to destruction? you guesses it, WIDE OPEN! There are no doubt, many hypocrates, that in no way disproves that God established a marriage between one man and one woman as a covenent and specifically addresses the other option. No one ever followed the law perfectly, except one man. The purpose of the law is to expose sin (rebellion against God / lawlessness). Judge yourself to see if YOU indeed are a good person. Ever lied? Ever stolen anything? Disobeyed you parents? Cheated? hated? Looked with lustful intentions? If so, then you too are guilty.
How about the hypocracy of God “showing up” at every atheist funeral or to blame when something bad happens? I guess he is just up there zapping poeple with bad stuff? Or maybe the one who created us, knows how we work best. When we don’t go his way (and we have that choice) and consequences happen(like he said it would) somehow we are arrogant enough to blame him. Unreal!

Good point about the hypocracy at the begining there. It is simple and it has to do with morality. it is the same thing for abortion issues. Many poeple are not ready to change from the indecent sinful acts of one man sleeping with another man sited in the bible to making it morally ok now. i’m sure it will happen soon though. I wonder if they are going to lower the age limit for pedifiles too? makes you wonder though what is the standard for morality and where does it stop? A rapist is only doing what he feels is good for him. A liar is lying because it’s easier than getting in trouble for the truth, and a pedifile enjoys children sexually more than adults and that is their pursuit of happiness. Good look with the everyone deciding their own form of good. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

A poor argument I’m afraid. Usually when a person lacks content they use a lot of explicatives like it makes it more important or true. No dice. Also, the muslim bible and the catholic/christian bible both have the Torah which is the first five books of the bible including genesis, exodus, levitecus, numbers, and deuteronemy, so actually, YES the Muslims get the sanctity of marriage from the same source as Christians and Catholics. It doesn’t look intellectual when you site things you obviously haven’t read past the first page. Hypocrates!

Love is important, but many poeple feel that THEY decide what “love” is. For that matter, what “good” is. As far as I can see ALL states approve domestic partnerships giving poeple who live together legal rights parallel to marriage. The reason it is an issue that you don’t understand with regard to religious people who know there is one true God, is because you do not want equal rights. You have it now. You are going after Holy Matrimony. The same one defined by God in the Judeo-christian bible. You want your domestic partnership to be recognized as “OK” by God regardless of what the scriptures actually say about it and many other things. Do you seriously think that if you win your abilility of mankind to consider same sex as a covenant before the same God who condemns it that it would make any difference to God. Why are you not happy with just having the rights to be together. Why must you push hard for the pastor and church setting? Your conscience itself will testify against you.
Atheist, religious, or agnostic, the questions you post about the bible are easily found if you are looking for an answer. In my opinion though, an atheist can’t find god for the same reason a thief can’t find a cop. There are MANY references in the bible defining “thau shalt not kill”. Consider this though, Jesus himslef said that hatred IS murder and that lust IS adultery. The law never saved anyone, it’s purpose was to expose what is truly in us. You may choose to be with someone of the same sex but the bible is very clear that God is not for it and anyone who calls themself a christian or a priest or a pastor and teaches otherwise is, again according to the bible, a heretic with deceitful motives. I do not say these things because I don’t like you, I say the same to liers, thieves, and blashphemers who are all violating the same standard that god has set. Yes I even judge myself.
