Rachel McAdams has revealed to Marie Claire magazine that her future children will have a deep connection to nature. The 30-year-old actress, who is currently dating Josh Lucas, has dreams to raise her family on a farm so they can better understand life at an early age. From the article,

“I would give it a good shot for a while,” she said. “I grew up in a small town, with a small backyard and raspberry bushes. My parents had a garden, but it was very basic. I think one thing that kids who grow up on farms really have going for them is they have exposure to death and birth in a totally different way. I think it takes away a little but of the mystery and a little but of the fear, and I do wish I had that.”

We’re not surprised to hear McAdams express a desire to raise her kids in nature — especially since she’s one of the co-founders of the green site GreenIsSexy.org — and an eco-friendly chick to boot. Perhaps she’ll live next door to Ellen and Portia?
