Yesterday in New York City, talk show host and eco-Mom, Kelly Ripa launched Electrolux’s newest eco-friendly washer & dryer in limited edition “Kelly Green” just in time for Earth Day and kicked off an online campaign to encourage people to renew their commitment to living green by planting a virtual flower for a friend. For every virtual flower planted at electroluxappliances.com, Electrolux will donate $1 to Global Green USA to support their healthy green schools initiatives across America. Bonus: Every day you log in to plant a virtual flower, you’ll also be entered to win the new “green” washer and dryer set. More info here.

  1. ripa is such an inspirational woman. her energy and ability to accomplish so many things is truly profound!

  2. Kelly Ripa is a hypocritical greenwasher (and not in the way Electrolux have paid her to appear to be) who should stop pretending she gives a stuff about the planet.

    • Did you know that electrolux is sending thousands of American jobs to Mexico, why would any American want to support this company?

      • hi Beth :-)
Mexico is an american country (central america, to be more exact) probabl;y you mean “north american”..
also you might not like it but if electrolux doesnt outsource these jobs like its competitors, soon the company will go bankrupt and then ALL its northamerican as well as its mexican jobs of electrolux will be lost, and the only companies left will be asian companies.
