ferrell

Comedian Will Ferrell has survived a guest stint on the Discovery Channel show Man vs. Wild. The actor hooked up with host Bear Grylls, who took him through the paces of survival in northern Sweden’s ice-bound mountain ranges. The appearance is all part of a promotion for Ferrel’s new film debuting in June, Land of the Lost. From the article,

Grylls shows Ferrell what it takes to find food in the icy coniferous forests as they climb trees, improvise snow shoes from saplings, drink their own urine and eat reindeer eyeballs. “Will did an amazing job in subzero, very unforgiving conditions,” Grylls said. “He should be very proud of how he performed.” Added Ferrell, “To be able to participate in an episode of ‘Man vs. Wild’ was a thrill of a lifetime, even though I did get urine-drunk, which is sad.”

Obviously, this should be a very amusing espisode — though eating reindeer eyeballs is the last thing I’d like to see. Look for the episode to appear in June on Discovery.
