Audrina Patridge, reality star of hit show The Hills, is straying a bit from the devil she plays on television to go angelic for PETA. On a billboard set to be unveiled today on L.A.’s Beverly Boulevard, Patridge poses in a sexy angel outfit with her rescued dog, Speedy Gonzalez, next to the line, “Be an Angel for Animals-Always Adopt, Never Buy.”

“Each year, 6-8 million unwanted dogs and cats are turned in to shelters, and half are killed because there aren’t enough good homes,” she says in a statement released by PETA. “The solution to this problem is as easy as ABC – animal birth control. Always spay and neuter, and never buy from a pet store or a breeder.”

    They’re ripping off the SPCA’s “Angel” message. Musician Sarah McLachlan has done PSAs on the SPCA’s behalf with her song “Angel” playing the background.

    Adorable dog and a beautiful picture… such a wonderful message. Thank YOU Audrina. Oh and VeggieTart, PETA has been running these ads for years. Well before SPCA’s “Angel” ad. Famke Janssen was the BEST.

    Great message, but honestly, does it have to be so sexy? Sure she’s beautiful but that doesn’t mean that she has to appear in the ad in a bra and panties. I have to agree with the first comment posted here. PETA’s marketing tactics disgust me.
