It had been years since I had seen this episode, then I caught it one late night while flipping channels. The first time around I gave no thought to the idea, now though, I was saying to myself.. "Oh no Spock! Please oh please, never let me be in that situation!" Sheryl: I guess I just assumed it was fake, to be fuzzy and warm? But then again how did he even get it? :D I'll try not to ponder it too much, seeing as how it's a movie. (Although I've been known to do so.) It was interesting, my take on this scene after having been vegan for a while.

I believe Nimoy is/was vegetarian in real life. He recorded an album or two of poems in the 80's about animals one written by my own animal activist mother about her work saving the whales.
