The Green Quote: Blossom’s Mayim Bialik Is An Eco, Vegan Fashion Emergency

June 3rd 2009

“To be honest, I didn’t feel like myself in all that makeup, but the clothes they found me were really right on. I’m a vegan, and they found a lot of eco-conscious boutiques with hemp material, so that was great. Some of the skirts were a little short for me, so I’m still getting used to that.”

- Actress Mayim Bialik (AKA Blossom) reflecting about her experience on the reality television show “What Not To Wear.” Vegan and eco conscious? Sounds like the hotness to me! Check out a preview from episode below!

  1. I saw that episode a couple days ago. I didn’t know she was vegan! They didn’t mention anything about that or talk about choosing non-leather shoes or belts or anything.

  2. I haven’t seen this since I don’t have cable, but I was so happy she chose to go to a small, independent eco-boutique called GOMI (http://www.gominyc) in the East Village and she picked out one of our pieces, a green blazer we made from reclaimed seersucker!

  3. I saw the show and she looked SOOO good! I get the heavy makeup thing, but hope she starts to embrace the clothing part.

  4. I’ve been trying to find an rerun of this episode to dvr, but no luck so far. *pout*
