It doesn't take much to fool people who are desperate to show how much they care (all Matt Dillon had to do was google "carbon trading critique" and read Larry Lohman's book or the Durban Declaration. . . He is a lawyer, financier, broker and is part of a propaganda operation to make Merrill Lynch and the legions of 'green' consultants and permit traders and polluters who have been working for a cap-and-trade system for years to allow them to continue to pollute. Saving forests requires no longer industrially logging them. Recognizing that indigenous peoples are the rightful and more able stewards of that land also helps. Fake conservation groups, and inside-the-beltway enviro orgs like NRDC want some of the off$et money that will poor in. (look at their Boards of Directors and funders).
