Yeah, you’re completely missing the point. A) He’s right — who’d want to take a vegetarian on a televised culinary tour of the home of the world’s most amazing hams? B) This is exactly the kind of quote Bourdain fans love him for. Made me like him even more. C) Gwyneth Paltrow acts like a complete bitch. Keep it up, Tony.

I am a fan of Anthony Bourdain but he is not being a hypocrite about his disdain of vegetarians. he has been consistent. Paltrow is a poor choice as a travel companion. As someone said, she is an anti-American snob and not a very good actress.

Listen when you are traveling the world and where the choice of food is eat meat or die. You eat meat. Get over it! Man survived in the past by eating on meat.

Most areas of the world do not have luxury of choice to eat vegetarians. Stop being so holier than thou.

Support PETA (people eating tasty animals).

I have to agree with you. I saw a short bit of his tv program recently with him eating “fetus stew” and appearing to thoroughly enjoy the perversity of it. He is one self-absorbed, legend-in-his-own-mind, kinda guy.

bourdain is great. and is totally dead on for calling a spade a spade. or in this case a biotch a biotch. good for him for not pandering to hollywood elite like other hosts. she is an anti american snob who raises her children in england because she said post 9/11 patriotism was “scary” and she didn’t want them growing up here. then she laughs herself all the way to the bank cashing her checks she makes off of films americans pay to see her. I wonder how Bourdain, however imperfect and arrogantly liberal that he is could tolerate being within one mile or less of Batali…? As hard as several of these TV glamour chefs are hard to take, the monumentally beyond hubris ridden, imperious and self-inflated know it all Batali is quite possibly the worst. The dickhead orange Crocs only add to his pathetic persona. And that’s saying a great deal in the face of several of these horse’s petunias.

As to schmucko Zimmern…… Gimme a freakin’ break. Oh ya, Andrew Zimmern, the ignorant/imperious NYC schmuck who loves to chow down on trout testes, rat anus, bat guano………., all smothered in skunk snot sauce and considers himself a “Minnesotan” – how insulting. Outside of Batali, if there’s anything, yes, anything more revolting and disgusting than the NYC schmuck who constantly is jones’n for excrement that not even a starving hyena would sniff, let alone eat, I simply cannot imagine.

How far we have fallen as a nation when we subject ourselves to these disgusting single-helix atavaists. Then again……….., Obama is “president”. Stop drinking the Kool-Aid and take these scum out!

Frankly, I don’t think Bourdain gives a darn what people think about his beliefs. He’s honest, straight forward and tells it like it is, which is pretty refreshing. And he’s quite honest about his disdain for vegetarians and vegans. I’d much rather be facing an Anthony Bourdain than the majority of actors, who spin everything they say or do for the benefit of their careers. As for his popularity, I really don’t think he’s too concerned, do you?

I have to ask. Why? Why would you not eat meat? You ARE a meat eater; that is the type of animal you are, basic fact. SO this is a decision that you have made and have to make a conscious effort (against nature and instinct). So why?

It is your right (I have a couple vegetarians in the family as a note). I just don’t get it, not even a little.

As a side not my sister-in-law… Vegetarian for like 20 years… Many of us laugh our asses off in the background because during holidays some of the dishes made with lets say meat stock she goes CRAZY for… Not knowing that it has animal fat / animal product in it…. LOL…. Just goes to show that nature takes over LOL….. Anyway just thought I would ask.

AMEN….. Look you can eat whatever you want. HOWEVER as humans we are carnivores. End of story. AND you don’t see ‘normal’ people going around saying.. ‘Oh I eat meat and veg’ BUT you always hear (mostly woman) prance around like it is some sort of high society bull crap ‘Oh…. no, I am a vegetarian; I don’t eat THAT’. And “THAT” is what you are supposed to be eating in the first place. We are not plant eaters people (exclusively anyway) so get your head out of your butt and enjoy life, have a balanced diet, and stop taking SUPPLEMENTS to offset what you SHOULD be eating in the first place.
