As previously mentioned, last night I spent the evening listening to PETA Co-Founder and President Ingrid Newkirk speak at Borders in NYC as she promoted her new book The PETA Practical Guide to Animal Rights.
Besides running into some awesome fans (hey, guys!), we also managed to get some sizzling hot news!
According to Ingrid, The Price is Right has just agreed to no longer give away horse carriage rides through Central Park as prizes on their show.
Of course, we’re happy to hear that they’ve wiped the cruel giveaway off their menu for good and we’re sure that Bob Barker is jumping for joy as well. As many know, Barker is an animal warrior and would certainty not endorse prizes that exploit our fellow earthlings!
Learn more about the cruelty involved in the horse carriage industry at PETA.org!
