It is a great idea to help all animals, even small ones. All animals are here for a reason, and without flies we would have MAJOR decay problems. When you swat a fly, call me crazy, but you really are taking away it’s life. That’s kind of cruel in my opinion. My best advice is to let nature go on in it’s own and everything will be okay. I mean, don’t go crazy with the fly-swatter, but you don’t need to buy a fancy catch-and-release one either.

Come on PETA, the President had a stupid fly flying around-a fly. i don’t think it really matters that a fly was killed that day. PETA is the most ridiculous organization that i know of.

We are not here to protect all animals from every possible harm — ANIMALS KILL ANIMALS!

I don’t understand why we hold ourselves to such ridiculous extremes (due in thanks to PETA), we are just animals ourselves after all.

Anyway, does anyone listen to PETA’s extremism anymore these days?

Obama is not the Buddah and we are not all Buddists. Thank you PETA for revealing (once again), that you are really just a radical religious organization!

I’m an animal rights activist, though I’ve never supported PETA and their practices. I believe that they make a circus out of the issue.
I just want to explain that I do not care about animals more than people. We should be doing more to help less fortunate people such as those at Darfur. I just do not understand why so many think that in order to care for people we must be ignorant toward animals. Why not help both?
Besides, I believe that our attitude towards animals reflects a lack of respect toward life in general. If people refused to tolerate animal suffering, imagine how the world would react to human suffering.
