greengirlsThe Green Girls — a swanky, hip eco-website with absolutely no Y chromosome writers — is celebrating one year of being fabulous and green with a bash down in Hollywood.

The fun will take place from 9:30pm-1:30pm at the greenest club in LA, the ECCO Lounge. Tickets are available for $15 — with a portion of the sales going towards the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, a cause that founder Apple Levy is personally involved with.

Bonus: Rob Patterson from KORN will be the celebrity DJ of the evening.

Why Vegetarianism Makes No Sense From A Moral Perspective

I don’t consider my years as a vegetarian as a stepping-stone or prerequisite to veganism

I hope I win the ‘Pig Farmers of Tomorrow’ contest I entered (I’m vegan)

I think I’ll likely have the most interest in pigs of anyone applying, anyway.

Hopefully Jon & Tracey Stewart use their new farm for vegan education

They’ve promised classes on caring for animals and sustainable agriculture, so vegan 101 would be a great place to start.
