Heather Mills is definitely putting some muscle power into getting her new vegan eatery ready to open next month. The former model turned animal rights activist and charity campaigner brought out a small army of friends to help with the renovations last Saturday — most of which appear to involve some fresh coats of paint. According to the Daily Mail, the “41-year-old appeared to be doing the bulk of the work as she rushed around with pots of paint, brushes and rollers.”

“They just think that it’s boring nut roasts and lots of hippy people who they think haven’t washed for months but they do, but that’s not what being vegan is about,” she told an audience at last month’s Brighton Foodies in East Sussex. “It’s about being animal friendly, saving the environment and the planet. The biggest contributor of global warming is the consumption of meat and dairy, but of course they are not going to tell you that.”
