I had absolutely no idea that Billy Zane was such a renewable energy junkie. We’ve very little here on the site to indicate as much — so to hear him speak below on the various forms of RE that inspire him makes me wonder how in the world he’s flown below our radar for almost three years!

Zane was interviewed outside UN headqaurters in New York City after attending the IREO (Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Organization) conference on June 11th. According to MNN, “Experts from UN member states and leaders in business and academia came together with the aim of finding practical, sustainable energy solutions for the developing world.”

Check out the actor, who is also an IREO media committee member, chat with Sarah Backhouse on the various green technologies coming soon to our world:

Lest we be confused that their giant V logo stands for anything other than Veld.

Trading beef for beans is not a solution, veganism is

Please do substitute beef for beans, but also have tofu instead of turkey, carrots instead of chicken, and I think you see where I’m going.

Guys, extortion isn’t an effective form of vegan advocacy

Assuming we can extort people into respecting the lives of others makes no sense.
