Who said vegan shoes aren’t mainstream!?

OlsenHaus, one of our all-time favorite vegan shoe lines, was recently featured in an issue of People magazine.

The footwear appeared in an “Eco Easy” feature — a style section proving that dressing green is simple as pie (vegan pie, that is).  Also included in the section was a special note on how eating vegetarian is super great for Mama Earth.

People says:

“Cutting back on red meat can help reduce your carbon footprint. Producing beef is a resource-intensive process; if every American skipped one burger or steak per week in favor of a vegetarian meal, the carbon dioxide savings would be equivalent to taking more than 3 million cars off the road.”

Every now and then people will say to me, ” Ecorazzi’s all about environmentalism. Why do you talk so much about vegetarianism?” My response? 3 simple words: Vegetarianism is environmentalism.

Visit olsenhaus.com to learn how you can get some hot vegan footwear!

Must be shoe day on the eco blogs :) I’m a shoe fanatic and just bought a pair of Terra Plana Mumbai shoes from SHOP.com. I can’t wait until they come in. They are so unique looking and I feel good that I’m making an impact on Earth Sustainability.

These are the ones I got :) http://bit.ly/DH2CE

For the person who was asking “How much?” I just paid $60. I’m a hardcore comparison shopper, and this seemed to be a good deal on the shoes I wanted!
