Is this green or greed? It takes resources to make a movie. What's wrong with the original 1972 animated version? Not hip enough? My environmentally-focused kids will want to see it because it is new. I am sure this is what the producers are banking on. Seriously - this is the greed that the book preaches against and you are glorifying it! Perhaps it is being made in a perfectly green manner and ALL profits are going to green causes.

this sounds wonderful - the original Lorax cartoon is a favourite of my kids and myself (of course the story book as well) so a new version would be great BUT i loath the idea of them messing with the story in any way. The story is perfect just as it is - it requires no tinkering or tampering with. the message is not only perfectly clear and already in a contemporary form, when my kids saw it at ages 4 and 5 they had no problem understanding its relevance.
