For those that love to hate GOOPGwyneth Paltrow’s weekly lifestyle newsletter — Vanity Fair has printed a mock interview with the actress that’s just for you. It touches upon her main focal points of “Go”, “Do”, “See”, “Be”, “Get”, “Make” and is rather hilarious. Here’s a highlight of their spoof on “MAKE”:

MAKE

And at that moment your personal trainer calls with this amazing new recipe for a detox face cream consisting of oatmeal, bee pollen, butterfly larvae, organic anti-freeze, sunflower extract, and liquid Lycra.

How do you cope? This is my method—and it would be great if you tried it, too.

Get your nanny to look after the kids, your agent to deal with Mendes, your kitchen staff to fold the napkins, your environmentalist to mix the face cream, and your lovely P.A. to book the table. You know what? My life is good because I am not passive about it. I invest in what is real. Like real people, to do real things, for the real me.

Ouch. Check out the full article here.

WOW, a touch harsh?!? GOOP is just another perspective. And I give props to anyone who can provide/express a point-of-view. No need to disrespect someone trying to provide info. True, Gwyneth may not be in touch with the rest of America, but her devoted audience may appreciate it.

Absolutely love it. That vapid snob needs a pin stuck in that huge inflated air head of hers.

Could they have used a more miserable picture of her? I think there’s something else going on here… Maybe some Conde Nasty is trying to get back to Gwyneth for something.

I’ve never been a particular fan of hers, but I subscribe to GOOP and really like it. I’ve been surprised by all the haters-she seems genuinely grateful for her life and eager to share whatever she thinks people can use, be it a recipe, a restaurant (frequently inexpensive) or wisdom from someone she knows. Her women friends share their favorite books, for example. No big ego-just sharing.

I think those of you who are so cynical about her might take a look at your own lives and measure the gratitude you feel, and how much you share yourself and your “finds” with others…just a thought.

I don’t really think it’s a matter of cynicism, but humour. I subscribe to GOOP and like it too, but it’s just begging to be spoofed. If you liked Craig Brown’s piece, which was hilarious, check out http://www.ppoooggg.blogspot.com, for a similar six month chronicle.
