Time to turn the tables…

The hilariously fake Onion News Network did a masterful job creating a mock feature on people protesting PETA’s “degrading and exploitative treatment of women” in their ad campaigns.

“Each year, hundreds of women are forced by PETA into the most horrifyingly degrading acts you can imagine,” said one mock advocacy representative. “Holding live animals against their naked bodies, or being shackled and put in cages while photographers snap pictures of them. It’s horrible.”

Later, she adds: “…they’re coached to talk about how vegan vaginas taste better than meat-eaters’.” Have a look below:

Vegan vaginas do taste better, it’s a fact.

This was funny until the “I’d rather be raped than wear fur” part – apparently The Onion joins mainstream media in promoting victim-blaming for victims of rape. A woman who poses nude to help animals is not saying she’d rather be raped – what an unintelligent, patriarchal, offensive, and horrifying false-connection to imply.

It’s true, vegans taste better (that goes for vegan men and women!)
